Yeah, don't be harsh on her. Maybe she has a hard time making friends. Is it possible to introduce her to other people she could be friends with? If you have to, you may have to talk to her because it sounds like you like her, but you would like her to tone down and give you some space. Call it boundaries. It's okay if it seems to suffocate you too much. Find a way to talk to her and let her know that you still like her but need your space.
