Question on black hole physics?

ok i was watching something the other night on black holes.a scientist said that general relativity breaks down at R = 0.he said something about infinity after that and that einsteins theory is flawed.what i wanna know is what does R mean and what happens when it gets to zero.why would einsteins theory be flawed.i love physics and the deep thoughts it provokes.thanks to all who answer
