I remember perusing some book about Einstein's General Theory of Relativity and it stated that...?

...when an object falls from a skyscraper, for instance, it is actually the Earth that is moving towards the object, essentially giving the illusion that the object is falling. Perhaps I'm not paraphrasing correctly, but can anybody explain this?
